Cloris and Corky promise to bring more entertainment to their dance this week.  We shall see.

Dancing to “The Girl Can’t Help It,” Cloris and Corky are dancing a fun, boppy jive.  Cloris is dressed up in a pink poodle skirt and a bouffant wig - which she just lost.  This is a first for Dancing, I think.  Her wig just went airborne right in the middle of their routine.  I want to see a replay of that!

Bruno says, “To call this wacky would be the understatement of the year” and “This is beyond comprehension.”  Carrie Ann said what she lacked in technique she made up for in charisma.  Len can’t even get a word in - as usual, the post-dance critique descends into Cloris Chaos.  OK, they’re not getting high scores but you have to admit that was pretty entertaining.

So I like the dress, but I don’t know how I feel about Samantha’s hair.  She’s wearing a strapless cranberry colored dress and a thick gold necklace, and it looks good.  But Samantha’s hair is kind of teased out and looks a little too frizzy, I’m not loving it.

I give Samantha a B this week.  What do you think?

22 out of 30 points!

I didn’t think they’d get that high considering Len and Bruno’s comments.  Carrie Ann gave them an 8, but the guys only gave them 7s.  A good score, all things considered.  I look forward to seeing them dance again next week, they seem like a perfectly matched couple.

Toni looks fantastic in her Marie Antoinette outfit.  The judges won’t be able to spot any foot lifts while Toni’s wearing that thing.  They start off very traditional bowing and mincing about, and then CUE THE GUITARS, the band segues into a rocking distorted electric guitar version of the waltz.  Very daring direction to take the dance.

Len says, “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it.”  He thought their waltz was gimmicky.  Bruno thought they took a huge risk, but felt it was overproduced.  Carrie Ann thought they went way over the edge, and she liked it.

21 out of 30 for Cody and Julianne - a decent score, but they’ll need votes to stay in the game.  Somehow I don’t think getting votes will be a problem for Cody, though…

Cody’s going to have to keep his youthful energy under control so his Jive doesn’t turn into the Spazz.

Off to a great start - Julianne’s wearing a cute blonde wig and a frilly black dress.  Lots of tight footwork, spins, and extensions.  Isn’t this a Lynryd Skynyrd song?  Cody’s playing air guitar on Julianne’s leg - twice, even.

Carrie Ann was distracted because Cody was counting off the beats.  This doesn’t bother Len at all - he loved the beginning but didn’t care for the last half of the dance.  Bruno agrees, he thought Cody played the leg guitar one time too many.

OK, here we go, Warren and Kym are going to leap into the lead.

The judges scores:  Carrie Ann gives them a 9!  Len and Bruno give them 8s.  25 out of 30 - winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Warren and Kym waltz out on to the floor in pink outfits.  They’re doing a really romantic, smooth, contemporary waltz.  Warren is awesome, there is apparently no dance he can’t master.  He’s so light on his feet and really just glides across the floor.

Bruno exults, “Big, smooth, and BEAUTIFUL!”  Carrie Ann was blown away and has a bit of a crush on Warren and calls it “mind blowing.”  Len didn’t have high expectations, but thought it was really well done.  Warren is a big hit with the judges and the crowd.

Carrie Ann gives their waltz a 7 and Len follows suit.  Bruno is stingy with his love and only gives Rocco and Karina a 6 - the crowd turns on Bruno, booing and throwing things.  20 out 0f 30 - hey, it’s better than last week’s score.

Well, they don’t really throw things, but Bruno does get booed.

Karina made Rocco wear a blindfold this week so he could tap into the musicality of the Viennese Waltz.  He actually starts off blindfolded up onstage, and then they dance down on to the floor, waltzing to “What’s New Pussycat?” which is just an unfortunate choice of music.

I don’t know, Rocco seems a little stiff.  It’s a nice number, lots of little flourishes and sweeping turns, but I think they could do better.

Len “didn’t mind it” and thought overall they did a pretty good job.  Bruno thought Rocco should have kept his blindfold on, but thought his musicality was off.  Carrie Ann thinks Bruno is blind, she thinks Rocco is the most improved contestant so far.  A mixed review.
